FIRST OFF…WE HAVE REACHED A GOAL OF 300 BLANKET WRAPS…ACTUALLY WE HAVE MADE 313! We are off to a great 2018 thanks to our wonderful donors!
Our season started the weekend of Thanksgiving when we attended Gobble Gobble Give Detroit and drove around the streets of Detroit. Between Thanksgiving and now, Kate and I have dropped off wraps at ChristNet, The Genesis House, The Welcome Inn, and one other time when driving through Detroit.
We are looking forward to three upcoming events including the Soroptimist International of Oakland County award dinner (we will post information and photos after the event…we are so excited!). In addition, we will be meeting Mr. Ogden back at the Welcome Inn for another round of handing out Blanket Wraps and will be at a union-sponsored event (we do not have the formal name of this event yet, but they contributed money to us to make blanket wraps to hand out at their event). We are still very busy!
We have received over $4000 in donations so far and would love to have more. The more money we raise the more blanket wraps we can make! Thank you so much for donating!
