How does the raffle work?
For every $10 donated, you get ONE ticket to win. Donate $50, you have 5 tickets in the raffle. Drawing will be held on Sunday, December 15th AFTER the Detroit Lions win against the Tampa Bay Bucs (donations for entry end at 3:00pm on 12/15).
What will be done with all the money that is raised?
We have a goal this winter to sew and hand out 350 blanket wraps which will put us past our total goal of 1000! We will also be teaching numerous sewing classes to community groups in Detroit, homeless shelters and a human trafficking organization. All the money we raise will go to buy more fleece and supplies to make blanket wraps and buy 2 more sewing machines and supplies to teach our classes.
How will we contact the raffle winner?
When you enter your donation in PayPal there is a “Add Note” section just below it. Please include your name and phone number there. We will post the winner on social media and call the winner. We are hoping to have the blanket wrap delivered to the winner before the Lions/Bears Thanksgiving Game (if the winner is in the Metro Detroit area).
How many blanket wraps will be raffled off?
We had 2 signed blanket wraps. One was raffled off on November 26th via a live drawing on Facebook. We will be doing the same again!
